Watch: Blood Brothers ‘People Gotta Know’ music video

The first South African supergroup Blood Brothers have released their new single along with a music video called People Gotta Know.

South Africa’s hardest rocking musicians have banded together to fight the battle against cancer to raise awareness and funds for the Vrede Foundation.

Hunter Kennedy (Fokofpolisiekar) wrote this foot-stomping anthem being released as their first single. The vocalists Arno Carstens (Springbok Nude Girls), Francois van Coke (Fokofpolisiekar & Van Coke Kartel), George van der Spuy(Taxi Violence), Albert Frost (Blues Broers), Kobus de Kock Jnr. (Black Cat Bones) carry the powerful lyrics through the heart-pounding drums and distorted guitars so well, which truly makes it a rock anthem. The song consists of tasty guitar licks and a solo brought to you by the legendary guitarist Albert Frost.

The lyrics “you never won a battle by staying at home, when the front-line of war is raging your bones” hits home and makes you want to stand up and join the battle they’re fighting. The lyrics take you on emotional journey throughout and many people can relate. The music video is a brilliant visual representation of the lyrics. When you watch it you will understand why.

When the band say they are fighting a battle you can really see it in their persona, wardrobe, army gear and all round badassery, it’s no joke. Their overall message comes across without question. They are shown rocking out and taking names! There’s no doubt in what they stand for and what they are trying to achieve.

If you’d like to catch them live in action, there music video is only a small indication of what you can expect from this super group. They recently performed a killer 3 hour set at Carnival City on the 18th of July and are soon to set sails to Cape Town Grand West Casino on the 23rd of September to bring their mind blowing show to Mother City’s shores.

So what are you waiting for? Go buy this single and watch the music video! All proceeds of the sale of this single goes to The Vrede Foundation.
